
Caryn Campbell, Executive Director
Caryn Campbell (she/her) joins MCF from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater (AAADT), where she has served as Director of Patron Engagement since 2014. In her role with AAADT, she devised new approaches to increase the donor base and advance fundraising through creative campaigns, initiatives, and cross-functional collaborations. Prior to her work with AAADT, she served as Director of Development at the Storefront Academy of Harlem, annually raising $5 million and implementing a $1 million strategic plan. Campbell began her career working in the film industry holding positions with The De Laurentis Company and Paramount Pictures. She also worked in various production roles with Spike Lee’s 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks, working on Lee’s epic Malcolm X and Girl 6. Campbell holds a BFA from Southern Methodist University.

Sindy Folgar, Director of Programs
Sindy Folgar (she/her) comes to the MCF BE BOLD program with extensive performance and teaching experience. She recently served as Senior Director of Programs and Partnerships at Dancewave in Brooklyn and is Adjunct Dance Faculty at Marymount Manhattan College. Certified in American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum, Folgar has served as a ballet instructor at New York University and The Ailey School (Junior Division), Program Director at Peridance Center in New York City, and Adjunct Dance Faculty/Choreographer at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Teaching Dance in the Professions from NYU’s Steinhardt School, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ballet and Body Science and Motion from Marymount Manhattan College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ballet from Escuela Nacional de Danza in Guatemala.

Kira Rai Daniel, Development & Operations Manager
Kira Daniel (she/her) comes to the Misty Copeland Foundation with a strong background in both performance and arts administration. Inspired by her own limited access to early dance training, Daniel pursued arts management and got her start as an Engagement Intern at American Ballet Theatre. She has most recently been working as a General Manager/Producer for a local New York based dance collective kNoname Artist. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Modern Dance from Texas Christian University and her Master of Arts in Arts Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Amanda Lindamood, BE BOLD Program Coordinator
Amanda Lindamood (she/her) began her journey with The Misty Copeland Foundation as a Teaching Artist in 2023 and is now the BE BOLD Program Coordinator. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Dance Education with a concentration in Ballet Pedagogy from New York University Steinhardt and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Dance, Psychology, and Cognitive Science from Case Western Reserve University. Lindamood is an ABT Certified Teacher in Levels Pre-Primary through 7 & Partnering. Her teaching experience includes faculty positions at Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School Children’s Division at American Ballet Theatre and Steps on Broadway Academy.

Marley Poku-Kankam, MCF Programs Coordinator
Marley Poku-Kankam (she/her) was born in Detroit, Michigan, but raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she grew up performing at Charlotte Ballet Academy and teaching dance. She graduated from the Ailey/ Fordham BFA program in 2023 with a BFA in Dance and a Minor in Business Administration. During her collegiate career, she served as the Student Representative for the Class of 2023. She represented the Fordham/Ailey BFA students as a liaison between the University and the student body. She was also selected by the University as a student member of the Board of Regents. In her junior and senior years, she led the Ailey Students/Ailey Professionals Program helping connect the Alvin Ailey company members to students within the Ailey School. Since graduation, she has served as an Assistant to Ms. Hope Boykin, former Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Company Member, as she grows her own company, the HB Arts Collective, and as she continues to expand her personal brand. Marley has also worked with the Vail Dance Festival to bring hundreds of dance performances to the Vail Valley for the past three years. Most recently, Marley has worked with a luxury bakery brand, Mah-Ze-Dahr as the Business Operations Manager. Marley is excited to join The Misty Copeland Foundation team and continue to fulfill her lifelong dream of bringing dance to the world.
