BE BOLD is launching at Boys & Girls Club of America sites in New York City, building upon Copeland’s own childhood experience in a local club and adult relationship as an ambassador. In the future, BE BOLD may be hosted at Boys & Girls Club sites nationally, and in other community-based, child-serving settings.

In general, The Misty Copeland Foundation provides BE BOLD trained instructors, necessary attire, and equipment for each participant. The local Boys & Girls Club or other partner site is expected to provide:

  • BE BOLD program administration
  • A safe and secure physical setting
  • Easy access to afterschool mentoring and tutoring offerings

The Misty Copeland Foundation approaches its relationship with community sites in the spirit of partnership and collaboration.  To host BE BOLD, partner sites submit a questionnaire indicating the services and resources they can contribute to the BE BOLD program; selected sites meet with the Copeland Foundation team to determine the fit and timing to host BE BOLD. BE BOLD is not currently accepting questionnaires. If you are interested in applying to become a BE BOLD Community Partner Site, please sign up for our newsletter or check this page for future updates.
