The Celebrating Misty Campaign is a one-year, $1 million fundraising initiative (September 2025 – September 2026). As Misty takes her final bow from American Ballet Theatre, the Misty Copeland Foundation carries her vision forward while sustaining and expanding MCF’s signature program BE BOLD and our two new initiatives, BE BOLDNext Steps and BE BOLDER.

BE BOLD
Our signature program is active across 22 sites, serving 500 students annually with free afterschool ballet classes.
BE BOLDNext Steps
Twelve BE BOLD graduates are attending The Ailey School, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and 92NY. MCF is providing full tuition, attire, and transportation costs.
BE BOLDER
The MCF is in four sites teaching adults 50 and older an introductory movement-based ballet class to promote strength, balance, and community.

Friend of MCF
$50 – Covers materials for a BE BOLD class
$150 – Helps support attire and supplies for a BE BOLDNext Steps student
$500 – Helps fund a week of BE BOLDER at one site
Advocate Circle
$1,500 – Supports two BE BOLD students for one year
$3,000 – Covers the cost of program space rental fees for BE BOLD
$4,500 – Provides transportation for 6 BE BOLDNext Steps students for the year
Community Circle
$5,000 – Helps cover the cost of a BE BOLD Teaching Artists Training
$7,000 – Helps fund the cost of the BE BOLDER teaching artists salaries for one year
Impact Circle
$10,000 – Helps provide funding for BE BOLD program supplies & equipment for the year (shirts, shoes, books)
$25,000 – Helps underwrite the funding for BE BOLDNext Steps program for one year
