BE BOLD will be known for its introductory ballet instructors who have completed a robust professional development training, conducted through a customized partnership with the NDI Collaborative for Teaching and Learning, the professional development center of the acclaimed National Dance Institute.

Instructors share a deep devotion to the development of children through dance, and may be current or former dancers or athletes, child development professionals, recent college graduates, or come from other professional backgrounds.

BE BOLD Teaching Artists are selected through an application process and must complete the BE BOLD training and commit to teaching at a Misty Copeland Foundation community partner site. Teaching artists are assigned to a site upon completion of the training and receive ongoing support and mentorship from the Misty Copeland Foundation.
